BCS 3.0 – CSP Development Start

Development for the next QuantityWare BCS 3.0 CSP (CSP02 on ECC 600, CSP01 on S4/HANA) has started as planned on Juli 1st. The contents of this major enhancement have been published in our earlier news item. Development close has been set to March 31st , 2021. Certified BCS consultants will be invited to participate in the planned test phase in July and August 2021 – after technical consolidation and successful unit test completion.

Usage Key Terminology

To accurately reflect the nature of the agreements between QuantityWare and our customers, Licenses are now named “Usage Keys” throughout our web presences and documents. Some web or portal screens have been renamed as a result, including the Usage Questionnaire – UQ (formerly License Questionnaire – LQ) and Test Usage Key Request – TUKR (formerly Test License Request Form – TLRF).

Support Service Priority Definition

To further transparency and understanding of our service offerings to customers, we have created a single document which defines our support:
• availability times
• response times
• ticket priority re-organization
• necessary prerequisites per ticket priority

See our Support Service Priority Definition document for further details.

Standards Update: ASTM D1250

ASTM D1250 has been issued as a new version with the designation ASTM D1250-19e1. With this new version, the API MPMS Chapter 11.1 Addendum 1 and 2 are editorially re-positioned in ASTM D1250. QuantityWare BCS supports ASTM D1250-19e1 with an advanced development (see News Item).

Training Update

Owing to the current international Corona Pandemic and the resultant travel restrictions, we have postponed the BCP Certification course offered on 27.07.2020 until 26.10.2020.
The BCG course planned for 26.10.2020 has been postponed until 2021.
Keep safe and Healthy!

FAQ Changes

The QuantityWare web site contains a considerable amount of unique information for QuantityWare customers and non-customers. We are constantly striving to make our website easy-to-use and have thus slightly changed the Knowledge Base screen and fully integrated the FAQs in their own “Support”-area. We felt that the Knowledge Base screen-header was “overloaded” and caused unnecessary scrolling when searching for, and reading documents, thus we have remedied this. If you have any comments or suggestions concerning the website, please feel free to share them with us.

Standards Update: ASTM D1250

ASTM D1250 has been issued as a new version with the designation ASTM D1250-19. This version is necessary due to the publication of API MPMS Chapter 11.1 Addendum 2 and thus requires an advanced development such that the calculation models assigned to API MPMS Chapter 11.1 can be configured (via a switch in the conversion group settings) to apply non-rounded volume correction factors (see News Item).

This advanced development is now available with Note 000090.

In addition, a new QuantityWare Working Paper – ASTM D1250-19 Addendum 2 Analysis – is also available.

Standards Update: API MPMS Chapter 11.2.4 – GPA TP-27

QuantityWare has completed the analysis of the second edition of API MPMS Chapter 11.2.4 (see news item from 20.01.2020). The implementation procedures defined in this second edition of MPMS Chapter 11.2.4 are identical with those of the first edition. The GPA TP-27 has now been adopted as GPA standard GPA 8217. All QuantityWare BCS implementations based on GPA TP-27 are thus compliant with this second edition. With the next QuantityWare BCS 3.0 CSP (planned delivery date Q3 2021) the nomenclature changes (from GPA TP-27 to GPA 8217) will be reflected in the BCS templates and online documentation.
