At the end of September, QuantityWare plans to retire the DataLounge in its current form, replacing it with a new customer service portal allowing customers to exchange data with QuantityWare via an HTTPS-secured platform. The new portal will provide support and relationship ticket functionality (e.g. license requests, application error reports, user requests, contract exchange, etc.) and allow file download and upload. Any customers who wish to take part in a pre-production test of the system during September can register their interest via a message to support@quantityware.com.
To meet exceptional customer requirements, SAP has provided QCI BAdIs for many years. The flexible nature and functional extent of QuantityWare BCS makes many of these exceptions redundant as they are included in the delivered calculations standards template. To assist customers in the analysis and appraisal of this complex area, QuantityWare has released a new version of its “Documentation Reference Manual” containing a completely new chapter of reference material covering this topic. The current Reference Manual can be found on our Knowledge Base.
In 2014 Q3, BCS CSP03 will be released. The corresponding detailed release notes will be available in June 2014. With CSP03, full support of dynamic CPL calculations, based on API MPMS Chapter 11.2.1(M) (Crude oil & products) and API MPMS Chapter 11.2.2(M) (LPG) will be available for our BCP product. Calculation of LPG vapor pressure based on GPA TP-15 will also be included. New conversion groups, list printing, a CPL calculator, validation test reports and test scenarios for all relevant CTL implementations, which can be extended to incorporate CPL calculations, will also be part of the CSP03 package.
ASTM D1250-08 has been re-approved by ASTM and issued under the designation ASTM D1250-08 (Re-approved 2013). QuantityWare has completed the analysis of ASTM 1250-08(13) and confirms that the existing BCS 10B implementations of this standard are compliant with the new revised standard version from 2013. With QuantityWare CSP03, the relevant user interface (UI) updates (text and online documentation changes) will be delivered in Q3 2014 for the Petroleum Measurement Cockpit, making this validation visible to business users.
With Note 000052 we now provide a powerful method by which customers can send data for analysis to QuantityWare regarding suspected technical errors in measurement calculations. This allows our support team to analyze the relevant configuration without having to acquire remote access to your system. The Note can be found on our Knowledge Base.
In 2014 Q3, BCS CSP03 will be released. Building upon the unique GRC and transparency possibilities offered to customers through usage of our “Test Scenario” functionality (delivered in CSP02), CSP03 will see the release of QCI customizing snapshot, comparison and automated analysis functionality. Sounds great, but what does this really mean? If implemented correctly, when run, our latest functionality will not only report QCI / MQCI customizing and configuration inconsistencies, but will actively identify the source of the inconsistency or, if not specifically identifiable, suggest possible system areas which should be checked by the user.
Quantity values are the lifeblood of your Business – remove unnecessary security exposure, ensure transparency and fulfillment of GRC principles in your business – leverage QuantityWare BCS as your quantity value “Gatekeeper”.
